INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE WOR SCHOOL CLOSINGS ON THE WEB

• Please do not send us email asking whether or not you have school.  The staff of the WOR Storm Center cannot answer these emails.
• When you click on your county, you will open the beginning page for the county your school is in.
• The pages are alphabetized by: Town your school is in, and Name of the school, in that order.
• If you do not see your school listed, it could be that : your school is open : your school did not call to inform the WOR Storm Center of your school closing : you are not seeing the latest and greatest information.  See the next bullet point to make sure you are viewing the latest site update.
• If you have been to the WOR School Closings site previously, you may not be seeing updated information.  This is because your web browser may not be set to force a page update when you revisit a site.  To save time, many web browsers simply load the web page you last saw on this site from a copy made on your hard drive.  At the bottom of each page, you will see a date and time of update.  WOR School Closing pages are updated every 15-20 minutes beginning at 5AM.  To make sure you are seeing the latest and greatest, hit the F5 key on your keyboard when you go to a page.  This will force your computer to load the latest page from the server. 
• You will find a link to the next page in line at the bottom of each page.
• Please ask your school administrators to call their information into the WOR Storm Center.
